Just a small episode with one small purpose: to review the new Alien: Covenant film with very mild spoilers. Paul saw the film this past Monday. Did he like it? Did he hate it? Does it live up to what he wanted in an Alien film? Well, you'll just have to listen to find out. And while he doesn't spoil any of the main plots or story, there is a few moments he does discuss so, listen with discretion. Oh, and he's a bit happy about it being the day of the Arrow fifth season finale, so there's a bit of that in the episode as well. Hope you enjoy this week's episode.
Outro Track: "Familus Horriblus" by Pop Will Eat Itself; from the 1994 album "Dos Dedos Mis Amigos".
Background music that can be heard throughout the episode comes from the "Alien: Covenant" Original Soundtrack Score, as composed by Jed Kurzel.

And in closing, a moment to say goodbye to a man the world lost the morning of this recording, Chris Cornell (Soundgarden, Audioslave, Temple of the Dog).

Those crazy galactic guardians from the Marvel universe returned to the theaters last Friday, and this week I'm here to give you a review of the box office hit, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. To be fair to all those who've not seen the film yet, this episode contains no spoilers. However, some of what you will hear might persuade you to get off your butt and go see this movie, if you haven't already. Along with some quick thoughts on last week's episode of The Flash, and thoughts on 2017's Ghost in the Shell live action film, the primary focus of this week's episode is the misfit crew featuring Star Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket and Baby Groot and everyone they bring along for the ride. Does the film measure up to the original? Is it true James Gunn was in a Toxic Avenger film? How good was Kurt Russell? All these questions are answered, so strap on your seatbelts and let's take a ride into the cosmos with The Bats, Bows n' Books Podcast.
Outro Track: "Pass The Mic" by the Beastie Boys; live from Amsterdam 2004
Multiple tracks from the "Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2" original musical score by Tyler Bates can be heard during the review of the film.

Get ready to take a deep dive into the world of Batman: Arkham Knight. This week's episode Paul revisits the dark city of Gotham and gives his full review on the final game in the Arkham series released by Rocksteady Games in 2015 (not including the recently released Batman Arkham VR). It's an in depth look at the Next Gen game that was released for the console and PC platforms, and was met with a bit of a mixed reception. This podcast looks primarily at the Xbox One version, but there is some focus on the PC fiasco as well. So, pull down your cowls and tighten your capes, as it's time to take a final blow in the almighty world of Gotham City on this week's episode of The Bats, Bows n' Books Podcast.
Outtro track: "Psycho Bitches Outta Hell" by The Horrorpops; from their 2004 release "Hell Yeah!".
Background music for this episode includes multiple tracks from the double volume WaterTower Music soundtrack for "Batman:" Arkham Knight"; recorded by Nick Arundel and David Buckley.
