Episode 12: Same Bat-Podcast, New Bat-Goodies

August 29, 2016

Batman: Arkham Origins.  It's a game that, in many ways, is very under-rated.  Not always appreciated, but it's a damn fine game.  This week, The Bats, Bows n' Books Podcast goes under a bit of a renovation with a dose of much needed structure and format.  And, along with a few zany characters that join the party, Paul is your host for tonight's entertainment as he looks back on a game that has brought him many hours of delight and crime-fighting goodness. Also, there is some news, some corrections and some music too.  So, let's go.  Atomic power to batteries, turbines to speed!!!

Episode 11: Bats and Archers and Canaries, OH MY!!!

August 22, 2016

DC Comics really made some great choices when they decided to go ahead with the "Rebirth" event, and there have been some really great stories in the small time frame since then.  Last week I had a chance to read quite a few of those titles and I thought I'd put together a "Top 5 list" from a few of the titles I sat down with to read.  Plus, I also own my error and make mention of the glaring elephant in the room, also known as "the comic book show I completely forgot in my Top 25" (yet I mentioned the show in the episode, just not in the Top 25).  Just another of my WTF moments.

Anyway, sit back and let me take you on a journey through a recap of some of the great stories I've read recently.  These titles did not fail me, and hopefully won't fail you either.

Episode 8: The Joke that Kills and a Tale to Tell

August 3, 2016

[WARNING: Spoiler reviews.  Listen at your own discretion.]  This week's episode has Paul reviewing both the film "Batman: The Killing Joke" and the video game "Batman: A Telltale Series; Episode 1: Realm of Shadows".  But keep in mind when listening to his opinions, that these reviews are in fact his opinions, so if you disagree with him, there's no need to flip tables or send death threats...unless they're really creative.  Paul loves creativity.
